product details

The RoboSnail automatically cleans the interior front viewing glass of your tank every 24 hours.  You can also manually activate it for extra cleanings if necessary. The RoboSnail stays on the exterior side of the tank while the sweeper and sweeper pad stay on the interior side.

A magnetic field is used to keep the sweeper in-line with the robot as it moves around and cleans the glass.

There are over 10 sensors to ensure the RoboSnail works properly. It automatically calculates the size and shape of your tank to determine how to clean all of it and not fall off. It returns to its charging station automatically when it is done cleaning. It works on black-rimmed, rimless, and in-wall tanks. It works on both marine and fresh water tanks.

There are two models of the RoboSnail available for different size tanks. The first model works on tanks up to 125 gallons and glass up to 0.4” (10 mm) thick, and sells for $199.99 on robosnail.com. The second works on tanks up to 180 gallons and glass up to 0.5” (12 mm) thick, and sells for $249.99. Both models of the RoboSnail are 5”x 3.88”x 2.25”.

The RoboSnail includes a docking station, a battery pack, an ac/dc power adapter, 2 guide arms, a sweeper, a sweeper pad, Velcro/ mounting tape, and a quick start guide. It also comes with a 1 year warranty. If your RoboSnail develops a defect in the first year despite using it only as directed by the user manual, AquaGenesis International will repair or replace it free of charge.

The RoboSnail has different settings to better accommodate different size tanks. The sweeper pad can be removed and washed and reused, which helps to cut down on costs and waste. The RoboSnail’s battery will last 12-18 months, and can easily be replaced by the user.

The RoboSnail itself is a rectangular robot that has 4 wheels to allow it to easily move along the glass. The RoboSnail can be programmed to stop short of gravel on the bottom of your tank to avoid causing scratches. Set up is easy, and generally takes less than 30 minutes

conclusion

Thumbs Up

Keeping your aquarium glass clean is important not only for appearance, but also for the well-being of your tank animals. Clean glass makes it easier to keep a careful eye on your animals and plants to ensure there are no illnesses or injuries occurring.

The longer algae builds up, the harder it is to remove. Therefore, it is important to clean aquarium glass frequently. However, cleaning glass can be a tedious chore, especially for those who own large tanks. RoboSnail allows aquarium hobbyists to eliminate one unpleasant task and save a lot of time, while maintaining a clean and healthy tank.
